Connections for September 8, 2008

Welcome back to an “Out of This World” week! I forget from year to year how busy and stressed out we are during the first few weeks! How about our new teachers?? Great job and we are so glad you are a member of our Curtsinger family!

This week at Curtsinger:

• STARS meeting for Kinder – 2nd grade at 3:20 in the science lab to bring any documented concerns you have about any of your kiddos.
• PTA Meeting Tuesday night at 6:00 pm. One rep from each team should be present.
  J’Lynn at principal’s meeting Wednesday.
• Bus evacuation training from 1:00 – 2:30 on Wednesday
  PTA program on Friday in the gym about respect and responsibility. Third, fourth and fifth at 8:30 and Kinder, first and second at 9:30.

Reminders:

• Student name tags are to be worn all day, everyday. Thank you so much for having your kiddos wear these – it helps so much!
• Self-reports are due Friday. Info coming to you on Monday.
• Let’s get our kiddos in the habit of filling out their planners. Check them yourself to begin with and assign a buddy to help those that have trouble with them.
• Schedule the science lab using the calendar on the door that will be there on Monday.
• We will begin this week with GMC on Monday and then on Friday we will have broadcast.
