Welcome to an Out of This World Last Monday of September!

I hope you all had a great weekend! They get shorter as we all get busier! Following are some important reminders for the week and also some additional dates to add to the October calendar your received from Laura. October is a very busy month and I can't believe it is already here upon us! Hang in there and let's all lean on each other to keep each other up and positive with our kiddos and each other! Our kiddos deserve our very best and we all do too! Let's keep filling those baskets with apples! You will find a surprise on your door this week that has to do with filling our basets with apples - more to follow!

Reminders:

  1. Homecoming Week! Let's dress each day with the kiddos!
  2. Please watch the video from the nurses that is required. It will be set up in the lounge.
  3. Have you joined a teachers' organization? TSTA, ATPE are just two of the teacher professional organizations available.
  4. Do you have your ideas ready for "Grants for Great Ideas?" Great way to get a super idea funded! Check out the district website for more info or ask us!
  5. PTA meeting on Monday, Oct. 6. Team leaders have info concerning parent education for this night. Let me know of any questions! The meeting begins at 6:00 pm and the parent ed/Reflections centers for kiddos begins at 6:30.

Monday, 9/29

  • No GMC: The Reflection video from PTA to promote the "WOW" theme will be viewed by everyone at 8:15 a.m. Encourage your kiddos to participate!
  • STARS for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade will meet at 3:20 in the lounge with the STARS team.

Tuesday, 9/30

  • Picture Day!! More info to follow from Laura concerning schedule.

Wednesday, 10/1

  • Faculty meeting at 3:20 in Pod 2: Leza Hooker, Diagnostician, will train us on Child Find, which is required. Following Sherri Richardson will share technology info.
  • Maureen in AP cadre meeting off campus from 7:30 am - 9:30 am
  • J'Lynn hosts principal cadre meeting in conference room from 11:00 - 1:00.
  • Pam Hamlin has shoulder surgery! Margie's shoulder surgery TBA, but soon!

Thursday, 10/2

  • J'Lynn meets with student from CATE center about PR for Curtsinger!
  • Progress Reports go home. Refer to e-mail, your team leader or ask us if you need more info about grades for the progress report.

Friday, 10/3

  • Broadcast at 8:05.
  • Drill Day right after Broadcast; more info to follow concerning Drill Day.
  • Final day for cookie dough fundraiser.
  • Homecoming Pep Ralley at 2:00 with Shawnee Trail!
  • Curtsinger feeder schools sit together beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Cennenial game!

  1. Phase 2 of Innova training for J'Lynn, Maureen, Kim Brown, and Angela Livengood from 1:00 - 4:00.

Oct. 31

  1. Kindergarten meets with Mother Goose at 8:30 - 9:30 in cafe.
  2. Kindergarten dresses as book characters. All other grade levels do not wear costumes to school unless you are having a special project, which I have not heard of any, but that does not mean you all have not planned some, so let me know!!! But we don't do colored hair, weapons, etc. If you are not sure about this, let us know!
